Playing JinggaPlay on an old Android phone

The hall is built for mid-range hardware first. That means no WebGL requirement, no video pre-roll and no font that needs a 200 kB download before anything renders.

Two settings that help

Enable fullscreen from the game bar — on a small screen the browser chrome costs real estate that the board needs. Second, rotate to landscape for the racing and shooting boards; the hit targets stay the same size but you gain horizontal reaction time.

What still works offline-ish

Once a game and the shared stylesheet are cached, a flaky connection rarely interrupts a round. Nothing depends on a websocket.

Battery

Expect roughly the same drain as a short video. Endless boards are the heaviest because they run at a constant frame rate; turn-based boards are the lightest.
