How the lane index is built (and how to read it)

2026-10-19

Every title carries a small set of descriptive tags. The lane index scores those tags against eight lane definitions and keeps the strongest single match, which is why a game never appears in two lanes at once.

Ties and edge cases

When two lanes score identically the earlier lane in the list wins. That is a deliberate tie-break, not a bug: it keeps the index stable between builds, so a page you bookmarked yesterday still shows the same neighbours today.

Why not multiple lanes per game

Because browsing eight lists is faster than filtering twenty overlapping ones. If you want cross-cuts — by control scheme, by session length — the hall's search box is the faster tool.

Reporting a misfiled game

Use the contact page. A misfiled title usually means a missing tag, and that is a one-line fix on our side.
